A 7-hour deep-sea trip designed for fishing and sea lovers who want to discover the secrets of the ancient art of professional longline fishing together with a captain from Monopoli. Total immersion in Apulian seafaring tradition, away from the usual tourist routes.
What the Experience includes (7-Hour Programme):
Meet at the Port of Monopoli (Molo Margherita) and Briefing: Welcome aboard and explanation of navigation and safety manoeuvres.
Deep-Sea Navigation: Approximately 1 hour of sailing to reach the bathymetric line and the deep-sea fishing areas.
Professional Fishing Activity: Educational participation and demonstration of all stages: from manually baiting the sardines to setting the longline, and from waiting techniques to hauling in the line.
Waiting: While waiting for the longline, we will offer you coffee and Apulian focaccia.
Drop-off: Return sail to the Port of Monopoli.

Handling of the Catch: Please note: As this is a licensed professional fishing trip and due to regulations governing commercial fishing vessels, all fish caught during the outing remain the property of the vessel and will be delivered/sold to the local fishmonger upon return to the harbour.
