This Mohare Danda Trek is a week community designed tea house trekking in Nepal. Actually, this route is less visited part and under tourism promotion. Unlikely you find the tourist travelling along this trek. Do not expect luxury facilities in this trek. But the adventure goes into multiple unique villages, beautiful jungles and provide the picturesque view of Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges. No other treks give you like this many incredible tranquility, remoteness and diverse Himalayan culture. In the beginning of three days, you will stay in home stay and community Eco-lodges operated by local people. After that, you will meet fine local lodges along the route to Ghorepani and Ulleri. This Mohare Danda trek is for such type of people who want to know more about the remote part of the country and want to go average below to 3500 metres altitude. At last, the tranquility of the Mohare Danda trek hypnotises those who seek a peace of mind.

Day 1: Drive Pokhara to Galeshwor (Drive 4hrs,) and start trek to Bas Kharka (1500m, 3hrs).

Baskharka
  • 7h
Drive to Galeshwor around 4 hrs. and trek to Bas Kharka for 3 hours. The trekking will be heading all the way up until Baskharka. The major attraction of the first day trek will be River, mountains like Dhaulagiri, Nigiri peak gives stunning view over the route, beautiful bas kharka village; a Magar village.
Day 2: Trek from Bas Kharka to Nangi (2250m, 4-5hrs).

Ramche

After the morning meal, heading up through the pine forest for 2 hours and gradually the trail incline into the village of Danda kharka; lunch stop place. Subsequently, the trail goes into the mountain terrace field and wide path brings to pasture at Nangi. The Dhaulagiri Mountain and Annapurna range gives spectacular view along the route.
Day 3: Trek from Nangi to Mohare hill (3300m, 5-6hrs).

Today is bit tough day to reach at Mohare hill. The trail passes via natural walk into the alpine forest and will arrive at Hampal pass (3100 m). Good vantage point to see the mount Dhaulagiri (Biggest Mountain of the world). Continuing through the narrow trail that provide the spectacular Annapurna range view that make a feeling of beyond the imaginations. Last one and half hour of stroll upwards carries to Mohare Danda.
Day 4: Trek from Mohare hill to Ghorepani (2900m, 3hrs).

Ghorepani

Sunrise view from the top hill dining room. Descend down over the jungle and split from the mid forest towards the Ghorepani. A largest rhododendron forest zone. Ghorepani is popular place for the travellers to enjoy the excellent sunrise view from the Poon hill. You can see a many traveller from the different origin of the country coming to enjoy the sunrise view from the Poonhill.
Day 5: Trek from Ghorepani to Ulleri (1940m, 3hrs).

Ulleri

Excursion hike to the Poon hill for sunrise view from the mountains. Trek down to Ulleri (1940 m).
Day 6: Trek from Ulleri to Nayapul and Drive to Pokhara.

Naya Pul

Again, go downhill stone stairs (3700) and cross the suspension bridge you will approach at Tikhedhunga. Again, move on you reach at wide muddy trail. Walk for around 3 hours you will reach at Nayapul. Then after, drive to Pokhara for one and half hours.
