Overview

In one day, cruise Ine Bay to see floating boat houses, look between your legs at dragon-shaped Amanohashidate, and step into Miyama's thatched Edo-era village. A healing journey away from the crowds.

Boat Houses & Seabirds – Stroll Ine Bay's “Venice of Japan.” Take a self-paid cruise (25 min) to hand-feed seagulls (watch for eagles) and see 230+ boat houses from the water.

Dragon View – Ride the cable car up to Monju Mountain. Look between your legs to see Amanohashidate rise like a blue dragon. Walk the sandy beach and wash your hands at “Isoshimizu” spring.

Thatched Village – Enter Miyama Kayabuki no Sato, one of Japan's last thatched-roof villages. Find the red postbox, sample Miyama milk or ice cream, and learn about traditional “chigi” roof techniques.

Fan-shaped Fortune & Rotating Bridge – Get a unique fan-shaped omikuji at Chion-ji Temple. If lucky, watch the Rotating Bridge turn 90 degrees for passing boats.
