What you can expect

  • Begin your adventure with breathtaking views of Mount Merapi, where you will witness a golden sunset painting the sky above one of Indonesia’s most iconic active volcanoes. The serene evening atmosphere provides the perfect backdrop to relax, capture stunning photos, and immerse yourself in the natural majesty of Java.

Transitioning from nature to art, dive hands-first into Java’s rich artistic legacy with an authentic Batik Workshop. Guided by skilled local artisans, learn the intricate technique of applying hot wax with a canting onto fabric to create your very own traditional pattern. This hands-on experience offers a deep appreciation for the creativity, history, and patience behind Indonesia’s world-renowned textile heritage.

The journey then takes you straight into the authentic daily pulse of the city at the historic Tamansari Market. Nestled near the famous Water Castle, this bustling local market is where you will embark on a guided tasting of three legendary Jogja heritage snacks—such as sweet lupis, savoury kue semar mendem, or classic jajan pasar prepared fresh by traditional vendors. Strolling through the vibrant stalls while savouring these time-honored recipes offers a delicious window into Yogyakarta's living culinary traditions.
