What you can expect

  • Explore Melbourne with a local guide on a relaxed 2.5-hour walking tour that pairs the city’s history with coffee and two donuts. It is an easygoing way to discover the city, with time for stories, photos and a sweet stop along the way.

Begin at Federation Square and head into the laneways that give Melbourne its character. See the changing street art of Hosier Lane, soak up the café atmosphere around Degraves Street and explore the city’s historic streets and arcades. Your guide connects the landmarks with stories of the people and events that shaped Melbourne.

Enjoy an included coffee or alternative drink and two donuts from local venues as you continue through the city. The route takes in Hardware Lane and the Queen Victoria Market area before reaching the Old Melbourne Gaol precinct, where you will hear about the city’s darker past.

Finish at State Library Victoria, ideally placed to keep exploring the city afterwards. This small-group experience suits curious travellers who enjoy local stories, food and discovering a city on foot.
