Sunrise or Sunset Magic
Choose the experience that suits you best. Watch the first rays of sunlight illuminate Mauritius from the summit on a breathtaking sunrise hike, or enjoy the peaceful atmosphere of an afternoon ascent as the daytime crowds fade and the island glows beneath the colours of sunset during our descent.
Trail Breakdown
The ascent takes approximately 1.5–2 hours at a comfortable pace with regular rest stops. The first section is a steady climb to around 260 metres above sea level before reaching the mountain’s famous rocky scramble, where hands and feet are used for extra stability. Throughout the hike, your guide will provide support and ensure everyone climbs at a pace suited to the group.
The Summit
At 473 metres, you’ll reach the highest accessible point of Le Morne Brabant. Spend around 30 minutes soaking up spectacular panoramic views across Mauritius’ famous turquoise lagoon while enjoying a complimentary summit snack to celebrate your achievement.

Difficulty: Intermediate. The climb features steep, rocky sections requiring hands-on scrambling. A good baseline level of fitness is required, but you do not need to be an expert hiker.
