Gemini’s primary destination during most of the year is ‘West Maui’s’ Marine Preserve Honolua Bay, renowned for its superb snorkelling. Alternative snorkelling locations include Cliff-house, Lanai and Turtle Town in Olowalu. While snorkelling along West Maui’s coastline, experience warm waters abundant with sea life. You will see a variety of tropical fish including Hawaii’s State fish, the Humuhumunukunukuapua’a, and if you’re lucky an endangered Hawaiian Green Sea turtle ‘Honu’. After snorkelling a hot buffet lunch is served and our complimentary bar is open. During the summer months the crew set sail into the Tradewinds always on the lookout for spinner dolphins ‘Naia’. During the winter months Gemini sets off to look for Maui’s annual visitors, the Humpback Whales ‘Kohola!’ During Maui’s winter whale season (Dec15 – April15) our snorkel tour features the added bonus of whale watching to and from the snorkelling destination of the day. Our experienced captains and crew seek out the humpback whale’s that visit our islands during these gorgeous winter days to be observed from a safe distance. Oftentimes while snorkelling, the sounds of the whales singing can be heard from underwater.
