  • In this tour you will visit Matera, the Rupestrian city, an incredible and unique place on the Murgia Hills. It's old town carved in a deep ravine, is the first UNESCO site of the southern Italy where people lived in houses- cave from the Prehistoric Age to 1952, in two amazing districts called Sassi. Instead, Altamura is situated in a dominating position on the Murgia Hills, in a National park. It has an old town very interesting with a big cathedral of the medieval period. Known for the typical local bread, defined the best in Italy and with high quality mark DOP, Altamura has a lot of stone ovens where we can taste the typical dishes of the wheat city!
