Every winter, the snow transforms the Sierra de Guadarrama into a magical landscape. To explore the mountains without sinking into the snow, we'll use snowshoes, which will allow us to comfortably enjoy this unique environment.
We suggest you explore the slopes of Siete Picos and the pine forests of Valsaín with a certified guide, who will make this experience safe and enriching.
Activity schedule
Meeting point and finish: Puerto de Navacerrada
Once the group is gathered, we'll hand out the equipment (snowshoes and poles) and the guide will give you some basic technique and safety tips.
The route is circular and can be adapted according to weather conditions. We usually follow the Schmid Trail until we reach Siete Picos.
Halfway through the tour, we'll stop to rest, recharge, and, if time permits, enjoy some spectacular views.
On the final stretch, we'll test the snowshoes by walking on virgin snow, checking their usefulness for moving forward on this terrain.
