This walk connects Machico to Porto da Cruz along an old footpath once used by locals to travel between the two villages.

Begin your hike at Pico do Facho and climb to the viewpoint at Boca do Risco, which offers breathtaking views over the island’s north coast.
Continue your journey along the trail, taking in the dramatic contrast between the rugged land and the vast Atlantic Ocean.
The route ends in Larano, where you can soak in the stunning coastal scenery.
