Meet your guide in Gravermark, 30 minutes before the trip starts to get fitted with your drysuit, buoyancy aid, and kayaking equipment. After a short introduction on land, we launch straight from the shore in either single or double sea kayaks, depending on your experience, confidence, and the group setup.
From there, we paddle through crystal-clear Arctic water towards one of Gimsøya’s beautiful beaches. The route is around 11 km in total and gives you a real taste of sea kayaking in Lofoten: calm coastal scenery, shallow turquoise water, sandy beaches, open views, and quiet places that many visitors never reach.
At the beach, we take a relaxed break on shore. You can walk around, enjoy the scenery, visit the small local shop and grab an ice cream before we get back on the water. On the return paddle, we explore more of the coastline, passing shallow bays, small beaches, and clear water where you can often see the seabed beneath your kayak.
This is a private tour, so it will only be you and your group on the trip — no mixed groups and no other guests. That means the pace, breaks, and kayak setup can be adjusted to your experience and comfort level.
This is an active but relaxed 4-hour kayaking experience with time for breaks, photos, and enjoying the surroundings. You will be guided by an NPF and Paddle UK certified sea kayak guide, using modern, high-quality sea kayaking equipment. The trip is suitable for beginners with a reasonable fitness level, as well as paddlers who want a scenic half-day adventure in Lofoten.
