Educational Excursion – Discover the marine world and things to do at sea

This educational day trip at sea offers a complete immersion in the maritime world of Martinique, aimed at people looking to discover Martinique's culture. Its objective is to raise awareness among participants about the richness of the marine heritage, the maritime professions, and current environmental issues.

The programme includes exploring the harbour and how it works, in order to understand the things to do related to fishing and maritime transport. Participants are also introduced to traditional techniques by making traps and fishing nets, allowing them to discover the local know-how of the sea fishermen.

The outing also includes an observation of the measures taken to combat sargassum strandings, in order to better understand this natural phenomenon and the solutions put in place to protect the coastline and maritime things to do.

Throughout the day trip, an educational approach is offered around marine biodiversity, coastal ecosystems, and mangroves, as well as environmental protection initiatives. Participants learn about local species, the interactions between natural environments, and the impact of human activities on the oceans.

Led by passionate professionals, this experience promotes learning, observation, and awareness of eco-citizenship in an exceptional natural setting.
