On the 1-hour boat tour, visit the Lesendro Fortress, built in the 19th century by the Montenegrin ruler Petar II Petrović Njegoš. Learn how it served as a defence against Ottoman attacks and ensured safe fishing and trade. Or, see the old prison Grmožur, known as the Montenegrin Alcatraz. Hear the legend of the one prisoner who managed to escape using the prison door as a raft.
On the 2-hour boat tour, pass through beautiful river channels surrounded by fields of water lilies. This tour is ideal for bird lovers, as you’ll pass through big bird tanks. Enjoy time for swimming as well.
On the 3-hour boat tour, visit the Kom Monastery, a skilfully polished pearl of master Ivan Crnojević. Learn how ruler Petar II Petrović Njegoš was ordained as a monk here. Or you can see the Monastery of Saint Nicholas in Vranjina, built in the 13th century. Hear how it was burned and destroyed several times during the Ottoman occupation, and how Prince Nikola rebuilt it in 1886.
On the 4-hour boat tour, visit the fishing village of Karuč, where you can still find houses used by fishermen to store their equipment. Enjoy an extraordinary viewpoint, and if you decide to go down to the coast, find excellent restaurants there. Or, see the village of Poseljani, once an important settlement with about 15 mills for grinding grain. Today, it’s best known for its beautiful waterfalls and numerous bridges. Finally you can choose to go to Pavlova Strana, one of the most photographed viewpoints in Montenegro.
