What you can expect

  • “M. Torti Mountaineering Trail” is the real name of this trail. If you love hiking in the Lake Garda area and want to experience an adrenaline-fueled adventure, you absolutely have to try it!

    It is a small ledge carved into the rock just above the lake. Legend has it that it was carved out by smugglers to evade border control between Italy and Austria, but it was probably just a test for the construction of the Gardesana road.

    We will put on harnesses and tie ourselves together to proceed as a roped party and ensure safety, because the path is very exposed, but not physically more demanding than a hike.

    The hike will start from the small village of Pregasina, just a few minutes' drive from Riva del Garda. It usually takes 4–5 hours to return to the car.
