Join us for an early morning ride up to the top of the ridge for a spectacular view of the sunrise. Be picked up at the Santa Cruz boat dock at 5:00 AM, and return to the same location around 7:00 AM.

The ride is up a steep, rough, dirt road. Starting in Santa Cruz la Laguna, and stops 2000 ft. / 600 metres above Lake Atitlan. You will have views of 6 volcanos, including the active Fuego volcano. It is common to view ash pillowing into the sky from the Fuego volcano.

Enjoy a complimentary cup of coffee as you watch the sunrise. This experience is rated “easy, and exciting”, as no hiking is required. Be transported in the back of a pickup lorry with side bars. This type of transport is common in Guatemala as a form of local transport.

Hold on to the side bars of the lorry while it is driving up and down the dirt road. This is a great alternative to the famous Indian Nose sunrise, but involves less logistics and costs if you are staying in Santa Cruz.
