What you can expect

  • Don't you have much time in KYOTO ? No problem. We are really close to KYOTO station and this programme takes about 30 to 40 min at a reasonable price.
You can enjoy the essence of KYOTO in the programme.
This experience will be hosted by either Maiko or Geiko.
Maiko, Geiko and Matcha represent KYOTO, and you can enjoy them at the same time.

※We invite either Maiko or Geiko depending on the day. Please kindly understand that we cannot confirm in advance who will be attending on your participation date.

    You’ll enjoy:

    • Tea ceremony with Maiko or Geiko
Maiko or Geiko will show you how to make matcha tea and tell you how to do. Then you will make your own tea by yourself. We serve little Japanese sweets called “Ohigashi” with the tea.

    • Q&A Session
This is a highlight of the programme. You won’t just see Maiko or Geiko —you’ll get to know her world.
Ask questions directly and gain insight into her daily life.
You’ll feel as if you’ve stepped into a hidden world.

    • Photo Opportunity
Take a commemorative photo right beside Maiko or Geiko.
As a special gift, she’ll present you with a lucky charm called a Senjyafuda.

Please note that the venue is not an “ochaya” or a traditional Japanese house. It is located in a building, but the place offers a relaxed atmosphere and friendly staff. No special preparation is required, and you are welcome to join without any concerns.
The experience is hosted by Maiko or Geiko.
This might be held with people who are having lunch or dinner.
