What you can expect

  • Experience a traditional Japanese tea ceremony in a kimono and enjoy a professional photoshoot in Kyoto. Learn all you need to know about the tea ceremony from a friendly English-speaking tea master in a relaxed manner.

    We have two locations: Nishiki Market Location and Gion Location.
    Meet at each venue and change into a kimono. Enter the tea room and watch the tea ceremony demonstration in English. Make your own matcha green tea and have it with Japanese sweets.

    Have your memorable moments captured by a professional photographer and receive 3 digital photos selected by the photographer as a memento of your experience via email after the experience.

    *For guests at Nishiki Market location
    After the tea ceremony, feel free to stroll around in your kimono and immerse yourself in Kyoto’s atmosphere. Please return your kimono to the shop by 6:00 PM on the same day.

    *For guests at Gion location
    Please note that strolling outside in kimono is not available at our Gion location. Please return your kimono after the tea ceremony. You are welcome to take photos inside the facility.
