This is not a typical craft workshop — it is a creative ritual of self-expression.
Your experience begins in a private Kyoto machiya, where you will be introduced to the meaning of Daruma as a symbol of perseverance and personal goals in Japanese culture.
You will then receive a completely blank white Daruma — a rare starting point that represents your undefined identity and unlimited potential. You can also choose from three different Daruma sizes to match your creative vision.
Unlike standard painting workshops, you will have access to a wide range of creative tools:
paint, spray colours, brushes, decorative stickers, and patches.
There are no templates or fixed designs.
Instead, you are encouraged to freely explore your own style — bold, minimal, chaotic, or symbolic.
Each colour, texture, and detail becomes part of your personal storey.
During the process, you will also learn the traditional Daruma ritual of goal-setting, where one eye is drawn when making a wish, and the second is completed when your goal is achieved.
This transforms your creation into more than an artwork — it becomes a living symbol of your identity and purpose.
The experience is fully private, allowing you to focus, reflect, and create without distractions.
By the end, you will leave with a one-of-a-kind Daruma that no one else in the world can replicate — a true reflection of yourself.
