After being picked up, start the tour by visiting the Tomb of Rumi, the great Sufi poet, and the Mevlana Museum. This is the largest Sufi Muslim centre in Turkey it was once home to the Mevlevi Order, better known as whirling dervishes. Wander through the colourful and bustling Old Bazaar, where you can browse for various souvenirs and local products. Next stop is the Aziziye Mosque, which distinguishes itself from other Ottoman mosques with its architectural structure and decorations. Combining baroque and traditional Ottoman architecture, one of the most distinguishable features is the double minaret building, where each balcony roof is supported with columns, making the mosque of a unique design in Turkey.

After visiting the Aziziye Mosque, enjoy an à la carte lunch in one of the best restaurants in Konya. After lunch see the Alaeddin Mosque which was built in the 13th century, making it one of the oldest mosques in Turkey. Journey to the Ince Minaret Madrasah and Karatay Madrasah which are beautiful examples of Seljuk-era architecture. Next stop is Sahip Ata which is a complex of buildings that consist of a mosque, tomb, dervishes lodge, double bath, fountain, and shops. In the museum, there are manuscripts, wooden artefacts, metal works, carpets and kilim works belonging to Anatolian Seljuks, Beyliks, Ottoman and Republican Era, as well as sacred relics such as Sakal-ı Sharif and Kaaba coverings.

Finally, explore the village of Sille which is one of the early Christians settlements of the region, with several rock-carved churches. Admire the beautiful houses, an old small bridge over the river, and mosques from the Ottoman era. Visit Hagia Eleni church, with its typical stone carvings.
