What you can expect

  • Begin your adventure at Kochi Railway Station, where you'll board a train to Alleppey. Upon arrival, take a tuk-tuk or local boat to the city centre. Explore a famous and old temple, then savour a traditional Kerala-style lunch.

Next, head to the boat terminal and embark on a scenic boat tour. Sit on the upper deck of a local water transport boat and watch as kids go to school and locals run errands.

As the boat hops from one stop to another, enjoy the scenic beauty of the backwaters. Travel from one river to another, interconnected through canals, and catch a glimpse of Vembanad Lake.

After a 3-hour boat ride, return to Alleppey city. Spend some time in the local market before heading back to the railway station. Board a train back to Kochi, completing your full-day trip.
