Begin your tour with a convenient pickup from your accommodation in Jukkasjärvi or Kiruna. Head to Hjalmar Lundbomsgården, the home and museum of Kiruna’s founder. Visit the founder's residence and enjoy a delicious fika (coffee and pastries) before continuing to the viewpoint.

From this vantage point, see the mines and the old town, including the sinkhole that is swallowing old Kiruna and forcing the town to relocate. In clear weather, admire the towering mountains in the background, and spot the summit of Kebnekaise, Sweden’s highest peak.

Next, descend from Luossavaara through the old town, making carefully selected stops at significant sites, before concluding in the new Kiruna city centre to view the old buildings—such as the wooden church—standing in harmony with the new architecture.
