Begin your journey with a convenient pickup from your accommodation. In just 20 minutes, arrive at a quiet pier tucked into the lush countryside. Here, your kayak will be ready and waiting—no heavy lifting or setup required. After a brief orientation, set off at your own pace, paddling down a slow-moving jungle canal surrounded by towering trees, hanging vines, and dense greenery.
As you glide across the calm waters, keep your eyes peeled for wildlife. Long-tailed macaques may peek out from the branches, while colourful kingfishers and herons dart through the air. You might even catch a glimpse of a water monitor or hear the call of a tropical bird overhead. Don’t worry—you won’t rush. There’s time to float, pause, and swim in the refreshingly clear water. Light snacks and fresh fruit are provided to keep you energised.
After about two hours on the water, reach the landing pier. From there, drive a short distance to Wat Tham Pla, a peaceful cave temple tucked against the limestone cliffs. Known locally as the “Fish Cave,” it’s famous for its sacred pond teeming with giant carp. Feeding these fish is considered a good-luck ritual, and it's also simply fun to watch them swarm and swirl below the surface. Monkeys often roam freely around the temple grounds, making it another perfect chance for photos and close wildlife sightings.
By early afternoon, return to your hotel, relaxed, refreshed, and full of unforgettable memories.
