Begin your journey in Kathmandu with a scenic drive to the base of Chandragiri Hill. From here, enjoy a rewarding hike through lush forest trails. At the top, take in panoramic Himalayan views stretching across Annapurna, Manaslu, and Ganesh Himal ranges (weather permitting).
Descend through peaceful woodlands and rural landscapes towards Chitlang, a charming village known for its organic farms and traditional Newari culture. Stay overnight at a local guesthouse or eco-lodge, where warm hospitality and fresh organic meals await. Spend the evening relaxing in the quiet countryside, far from the city’s rush.
The next morning, explore the village, visit local farms or a cheese factory, and enjoy breakfast before continuing your journey south towards Chitwan. Arrive in Chitwan and check into a comfortable jungle resort near the park. After a welcome briefing, enjoy a peaceful sunset by the Rapti River and experience a traditional Tharu cultural dance performance that showcases the heritage of the local community.
The following day is dedicated to exploring the rich biodiversity of Chitwan National Park, Nepal’s first national park and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Activities include a serene canoe ride along the Rapti River, where you may spot crocodiles and exotic birds, followed by a guided jungle walk with an experienced naturalist.
In the afternoon, embark on a jeep safari deep into the park. Keep your camera ready for sightings of the famous one-horned rhinoceros, deer, wild boar, monkeys, and if you’re lucky, the elusive Bengal tiger. The park is also home to hundreds of bird species, making it a paradise for bird watchers.
The final morning offers optional bird watching before breakfast and your return drive to Kathmandu or onward to Pokhara.
