Antonio Vivaldi's world-famous cycle “The Four Seasons” is one of the most brilliant masterpieces of Baroque music. Hardly any other work brings nature, atmosphere, and emotions to life as vividly as these four violin concertos - from jubilant spring to dramatic summer storms to the quiet magic of winter.
DRESDNER RESIDENZ ORCHESTER presents “The Seasons” in a particularly transparent and colourful interpretation that impressively brings out the subtleties of Vivaldi's musical nature paintings. The concert is complemented by selected compositions from the Baroque and Classical periods, which round off the evening stylistically and at the same time showcase the ensemble's diversity.
Since its founding in 2013, the ensemble has been thrilling audiences with its charismatic sound, lively interpretations, and sensitive interplay in a small ensemble setting. The musicians combine virtuosity with a special sense of atmosphere - ideal for an atmospheric church concert.
