Immerse yourself in the enchanting world of glass jewellery making in the breathtaking Lofoten Islands. Our workshop, led by a renowned local glass artist, offers an intimate and detailed exploration into the craft of creating beautiful, wearable art pieces from glass.

The workshop begins with an introduction to the basic techniques and safety measures of glasswork, ensuring you feel confident and secure in handling the materials. As the session unfolds, you'll dive into the hands-on process of selecting colours, shaping, and eventually cooling your glass pieces—a meditative process that allows for personal expression and artistic freedom.

With a maximum of six participants, the workshop ensures personalised guidance, allowing you to create between 3 to 15 beads, which can be transformed into a necklace, bracelet, keyring, or pair of earrings.

Once your glass pieces have been meticulously crafted, you'll have the unique opportunity to assemble them as you see fit—be it into earrings, a necklace, a bracelet, or any other form that your creativity conjures. All materials needed for this assembly are provided, ensuring that your creations are not only personal but also of the highest quality. We offer silver chains and earring components for you to choose from, allowing your jewellery to truly shine. During this time, you can also enjoy a cup of tea or coffee and some snacks, making the experience as relaxing as it is rewarding.

Offered on select Thursdays and Fridays from 9 AM to 4 PM, the workshop is a unique opportunity to engage with the local culture and landscape of Lofoten while unlocking your creative potential. We have workshops lasting 1 hour, 1.5 hours, and 3 hours. In the 1-hour course, you can expect to make 2-3 beads. In the 1.5-hour course, you can make 7-10 beads, and in the 3-hour workshop, you can make 10-15 beads. Whether for 1 or 3 hours, you'll leave with not just a piece of jewellery, but a memorable experience that encapsulates the beauty of Lofoten and the joy of creation.
