Overview

Take a step back in time with a full-day tour of Taiwan's northern villages: Jinguashi, Jiufen, and Pingxi.

Jinguashi is famous for its former gold mines — tour the Thirteen Ruins, an abandoned refinery overlooking the striking Yin Yang Sea. The coastal town of Jiufen is said to be the inspiration for Spirited Away; wander its narrow cobblestone streets and stop at the Amei Teahouse, a traditional teahouse perched over the hillside.

Then board the scenic Pingxi Line through misty mountain valleys before arriving in Shifen to release sky lanterns into the sky.
Just a stone's throw from Taipei, this full-day tour takes you through three charming old-world towns rich in scenery and cultural heritage.

  • Visiting Jiufen's old street includes walking up and down several flights of stairs. Please take this into consideration before booking this tour.
