Ride a Fat Bike on the less travelled snow-covered roads thru the enchanted eastern slopes of Grand Teton National Park - GTNP. This is a great way to explore and experience the winter season in the Greater Teton Region.
The Tour starts by meeting at the Teton Mountain Bike Tours - TMBT Office locate in the Town of Jackson, WY and then a short transport to the trailhead in GTNP. Before riding your guide will go over the operation of a Fat Bike and cover some safety tips for winter riding.
The Route is relatively flat terrain with minimal elevation gain and about 6 to 10 miles in length thus making it an ideal bike ride for all ability levels and a fun family activity. Throughout the ride you have opportunity to see winter wildlife which could include moose, elk, mule deer and bald eagles. Also, some of the time there are incredible views of the snowcapped Teton Mountain Range.
During the winter season it is most important to be warm especially hands and feet - so we offer warm gloves/mittens with handwarmers and warm boots. Helmets are required on the Fat Bike Tours and we provide a skull cap to wear under the helmet.
