Known as the “Calendar Islands,” it offers a mix of rugged coastline, sandy beaches, historic forts, and charming island communities. The bay is a haven for wildlife like seals, ospreys, and bald eagles, and its waters are alive with working lobster boats, ferries, and sailboats, making it both scenic and quintessentially Maine.

Witness lobstermen hauling traps, ferries travelling to the islands and sailboats gliding across the bay. Experience the authentic maritime culture of Maine's busiest port city.
