After completing more than half the hike (6 kilometres), we will reach the Cachiqata stone quarries, where the ancient inhabitants of the Tahuantinsuyu Empire collected materials for their impressive Inca buildings and temples. From here, we will see certain buildings and objects that were left unfinished. It is an ideal place to take a break, as well as explore the area to discover all its mysteries.

The hike from the Cachiqata quarries to Inti Punku takes about 3 hours and 30 minutes, with a steady climb. One kilometre from the finish, you can see the Inti Punku structure, which provides extra motivation. Along the way, you also pass the Inti Punku camp, where many choose to spend the night to watch the sunrise from the Sun Gate. Upon arrival, the well-maintained structure and the views of Mount Verónica and the landscape at almost 3,900 metres above sea level offer a magical experience. It's an ideal place to admire the Inca buildings and take unforgettable photographs. It's recommended to bring water and snacks. The return journey follows the same path we took up, and thanks to the constant descent, the journey time can exceed three hours. On the way down, we can see another angle of the hike, along with all the flora that adorns the path.
