Overview

  • Experience the International Balloon Festival 2026 in León on a worry-free weekend. We left at night from Mexico City to arrive in time for the dawn takeoff of hundreds of hot air balloons. Afterwards, we tour the Historic Centre of León, with the Expiatory Temple, the Cathedral, and the famous leather district, and return to the festival for the Magic Night and the concert of Calvin Harris, Alok, and Tyson O'Brien. We arrived in the early morning at the headquarters of the International Balloon Festival to witness the takeoff of hundreds of hot air balloons at dawn. We spent the morning at the festival taking photos and enjoying the atmosphere. In the afternoon we return to the festival for the Magic Night, when the balloons light up, and we close the day with the concert of Calvin Harris, Alok, and Tyson O'Brien. Includes Day Pass to the festival, access to the Magic Night and the concert.

After the morning at the festival, we moved to the Historic Centre of León. We visited the Expiatory Temple, an impressive neo-Gothic work famous for its stained glass, towers, and catacombs.

We walk through the Historic Centre and visit the Cathedral Basilica of Our Lady of the Most Holy Light, the religious heart of León, along with its colonial squares and streets.
