    • RF7R+MGW, Aguas Calientes 08680, Perú | We will meet you at Km. 104 between 7:30 AM and 8:00 AM (recommended trains from Ollantaytambo depart between 5:35 AM and 6:10 AM), where we will begin our hike. You should get off the train at the sign that reads “Camino Inca 104km.” DAY ONE: Visits to Chachabamba, Warmihuañusca, Inti Punku, and a panoramic view of Machu Picchu (bring your own eco-friendly lunch or snack; plastic containers or plastic bags are not allowed). Upon arrival in Aguas Calientes, each guest will proceed to their booked hotel. DAY TWO: Guided tour of the citadel of Machu Picchu. Your guide will pick you up from your hotel, and you will begin your 2- to 3-hour guided tour of the citadel.

What you can expect

  • DAY 1 - Cusco – Chachabamba – Wiñayhuayna – Aguas Calientes
    Pick-up from your hotel to the train station. Train ride (~1.5 hours) to kilometre 104, where we begin our trek to the archaeological remains of Chachabamba. From there, we'll continue with a hike to the archaeological remains of Wiñayhuayna, where we'll enjoy lunch before continuing the hike to Inti Punku (the Sun Gate).

    Here we'll get our first view of Machu Picchu and then head to the entrance checkpoint of the citadel of Machu Picchu, where the bus will take us down to Aguas Calientes. Here we will spend the night, have dinner, and prepare for our visit to Machu Picchu the next day.

    DAY 2 - Machu Picchu – Aguas Calientes – Ollantaytambo – Cusco
    After breakfast at around 5 am, we will board the bus to the citadel of Machu Picchu, where we will have a guided tour of the different sectors for about 2 hours. Then, we will have a short time to enjoy the citadel before going down by bus to Aguas Calientes to board the train back to Ollantaytambo and then to Cusco.
