It is staged at the Li River Landscape Theatre in Yangshuo County, Guilin, Guangxi, lasting about 70 minutes with over 600 actors. Originating from the well-known Liu Sanjie storey in the 20th century and Guangxi's need to integrate culture and tourism, the performance uses a 2-kilometer Li River water area as the stage and twelve peaks as the backdrop, complemented by large-scale environmental art lighting and smoke effects. Actors wear characteristic costumes of ethnic minorities like Zhuang, Yao, and Miao, performing chapters such as “Legends of Landscape,” “Folk Songs,” “Homeland,” “Fishing Fires,” “Love Songs,” and “Grand Ceremony” in front of green terraced audience seats, depicting life scenes and ethnic customs along the Li River. The stage adopts eco-friendly designs like bamboo rafts. This performance not only inherits Guangxi's ethnic minority culture but also pioneered China's large-scale live landscape performances, boosting tourism economy in Guilin Yangshuo and creating numerous job opportunities locally.
