Overview

The Shanghai Jewish Refugees Musuem and its adjacent area stands as the remnant of one piece of gloomy yet fascinating history. I have a series of stories, insights you may never read from those mainstream tourism brochures. Let's explore and imagine over the ruins of the shadow of that foregone “Little Vienna” as well as the cities' most hustling working class fortification. From an unapologetic native perspective, I will show you the viccitudes this part of city has undergone

Sihang Warehouse was once the focus of international community during the fierce Second Battle of Shanghai in August 1937 and it is now engraved as a consecrate landmark of the Chinese resilience in its greatest existential crisis. Outside the museum is the iconic Suzhou Creek that witnesses this city's early industrialisation and internationalization effort. One river, stages all the extremities of the dazzling history Shanghai has lived through in the span of a century. History is no more theatrical than this.
