In this hike we will be exploring Mahe's southwestern side. This magical rock formation has a large cavity at the edge of the granite slope which links the craggy coastline of Takamaka to the Intendance Beach. Rock Pool, aka Ros Sodyer, is a natural tide pool marvellously carved out of the rock, situated only metres away from the ocean.

The journey to reach the Rock Pool / Ros Sodyer Seychelles starts at the southern tip of Anse Takamaka Beach where will experience the Seychelles giant tortoises as the openning reward along with vast white sand Takamaka beach. Once we soaked in to the tropical vibes of this place, we embark on the adventure to the Rockpool. The hike is generally straightforward and manageable for those with a moderate level of fitness. While most of the terrain is gently undulating, there are a few segments where you’ll encounter short climbs using steel ladders to access the next portion. These climbs are not particularly challenging, but they might pose a minor obstacle for some individuals.
The nature trail offers a splendid experience as you meander through lush jungle landscapes. As you approach the trail’s conclusion, you’ll ascend onto rocky terrain with captivating views of the Ocean.
