We start in a very small group with a maximum of 6 participants. We will pick you up in an air-conditioned van from one of the meeting points in Heidelberg, Weinheim, or Mörlenbach. A wonderful journey through the enchanting Palatinate takes us to the picturesque town of Wissembourg.
We start our day in charming Bad Dürkheim and discover two of the most exciting landmarks there that you shouldn't miss! Afterwards, we drive through the beautiful vineyards to the start of the German Wine Route. Our route takes us on to Wissembourg, where we can explore the idyllic town and soak up the atmosphere. As a grand finale, we will hike to Landeck Castle to end the day in a relaxed manner. Let's enjoy this beautiful trip together!
Our first stop on this fantastic day is in the heart of the beautiful Palatinate – in Bad Dürkheim. We will take a look at the giant barrel with its historical background and breathe in the healing salt air at the Gradierbau, one of the longest open-air inhalation facilities in Germany.
After that, a scenic ride along the wine route awaits you through the impressive Palatinate wine-growing region to its starting point – the Deutsches Weintor. Located on a slight hill, you can taste wine and enjoy the view here.
From here, it's just a short distance to France. The romantic and idyllic village of Wissembourg lets us feel the charm of Alsace. We'll stroll together through alleys lined by the Lauter River with colourful flowers and marvel at the second-largest church in Alsace. Afterwards, you will have some free time in this wonderful town.
At the end of the day, we drive to Landeck Castle, which we reach after a short, moderate climb. It is a spectacular excursion destination in the Southern Palatinate and offers breathtaking panoramic views over the Rhine plain to the Black Forest. We can end the day in the castle tavern.
Full of new impressions and experiences, we'll take you back to your starting point in a relaxed manner.
