Take a 2-hour tour along the Elbe and discover the beautiful Hanseatic City of Hamburg, from the Landungsbrücken in St. Pauli to Altona. Start the tour at the Braukessel and see the imposing buildings of the Hotel Hafen Hamburg, then head west to the “Hafenkrone.”
The Landungsbrücke buildings of 1909 and the Elbe Tunnels completed in 1911 became the gateway to the port, and are a testament to the stories of dock workers and immigrants alike. Walk past the Bernhard Nocht Institute for Tropical Medicine and along David- and Herbertstraße to the Hafenstraße.
See an incredible example of public art in Pinnasberg and visit the Fischmarkt, where locals gather early in the morning every Sunday to shop, socialise and admire the wares. Follow the banks of the Elbe to the Hamburg Cruise Centre, and with a bit of luck, admire 1 or 2 of the stately ocean liners.
