Ming Xiaoling Mausoleum is inside Purple Mountain, it's the royal mausoleum of Zhu Yuanzhang, the founding emperor of the Ming Dynasty. It was included in the UNESCO World Cultural Heritage Site List in 2009.
Surrounded by hills and rivers with a well-structured layout, it established the architectural layout model for imperial mausoleums of the Ming and Qing dynasties over 630 years, and all subsequent royal tombs were built in imitation of it.
Lined with ancient towering trees and boasting stunning autumn scenery along the Stone Animal Road, it serves as a classic masterpiece where cultural relics blend perfectly with natural landscapes.
