You will depart from your hotel at either 8.30(Finishes at 12.30) or 12.30(Finishes at 16.30). Whether you wish the morning or afternoon time is solely dependant on your preference. You will begin the tour by heading to Pick Noi which is only around a 30 minute drive away. Upon arrival you will be given a short safety briefing and introduction to kayaking before heading off down the river. As you continue onwards you will reach a small section of light but fun rapids before arriving at the tomb of the 19th century French explorer ‘Henri Mouhot’ who was the first European to discover Luang Prabang! Here you will spend some time looking around this fascinating site before transferring back to Luang Prabang.

If time allows for it a last optional stop on the way back to Luang Prabang can be made at a traditional weaving village of Ban Phanom.

Approximately: 3 hours kayaking/1 hour transfer

The best time for kayaking and rafting is from June to December. The Rivers are very low and much slower towards the end of the dry season(January - April).
The tour might start further up the river than Pick Noi village depending on the local conditions of the river on day.
