What you can expect

You'll discover the largest gold collection from pre-Hispanic cultures, showcasing different techniques and their ancestral value in various pre-Columbian indigenous cultures, such as the Tumaco, Muisca, and Tairona, among others. Leaving our museum, we'll embark on an architectural and cultural tour, observing iconic and significant places that are important in the culture and history of Colombia, such as the Plazoleta del Rosario, which was important in the botanical expedition process. Along our way, we'll find some special places, but also Plaza de Bolívar and the Primatial Cathedral of Colombia, a place with neoclassical characteristics and a Roman appearance. On our walk, we'll find the house of the liberator's liberator, the house of Manuelita Sáenz. We'll also see the Liévano Palace building, a French-Republican style, and the Colon Theatre, an Italian neoclassical architectural work. Following our route, we'll treat our taste buds to a small gastronomic experience of some foods from the Cundiboyacense highlands. We'll continue our tour and visit the works of Fernando Botero and his private collection donated to the museum. We'll continue our tour to the Quevedo jet and observe the contrast between the colonial and the modern, where we'll end our tour.
