Place Stanislas, a magnificent witness to Baroque art of the 18th century, teaches us a little more about the attachment of the Duchy of Lorraine to the Kingdom of France. Stanislas Leszczynski, who proudly sits in its centre, is both King of Poland, Duke of Lorraine and father-in-law of the King of France, Louis XV. He's in charge of building this royal square. Jean Lamour’s rococo grills form a golden setting around this character with an extraordinary destiny.
