Embark on a varied, guided hike through the spectacular Geisterklamm Gorge, with its thundering waterfalls, narrow rock faces, and well-secured footbridges. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating insights with you about the formation of the gorge, the power of water, and the unique characteristics of Alpine nature. After about 2.8 miles, you will reach the picturesque village of Mittenwald, where you will have time for a leisurely lunch break.
Afterwards, you will have the option to continue the tour as a scenic circular hike (approximately 9 km/5.6 miles in total): The route takes you through the tranquil Lainbach Valley and up to the idyllically situated Lautersee, which captivates visitors with its clear water and mountain panorama. The trail then continues to the Ederkanzel, an impressive viewpoint offering sweeping views of the Karwendel Mountains. In total, you will cover around 300 metres (985 feet) of elevation gain, both ascending and descending, before a leisurely return to the starting point – an utterly unforgettable experience of nature.
