    Thingvellir National Park is a unique site in Iceland. Embrace the phenomenal natural forces at play at the crossroads of the North American and Eurasian tectonic plates. Thingvellir is also the site of the Icelandic Parliament founded in 930. Thingvellir tells stories of geographical and political struggles, compromises and ongoing evolution. In 2004 Thingvellir joined the UNESCO World Heritage List for its cultural value.
