Sólheimajökull is part of the Mýrdalsjökull Glacier, which is the 4th largest in Iceland. It has a mixture of ash and ice, which gives it a dark colour up close. We will hike around, so you can see various crevasses.

This is a meet on location tour, you will meet your guide in the car park for gearing up and a safety briefing. This hike is moderately challenging, so we do not recommend for any smaller children and anyone with physical limitations..

They will then brief you on the equipment and route before beginning .Worry not about the dangers of glacier hiking in Iceland, as your guide knows how to navigate this otherworldly terrain safely and is trained to deal with all potential circumstances.You are also welcome to ask them any questions about the ice caps or life in Iceland, and they can take photos of you and your group at the most picturesque spots.
