Join me on his gastro tour through this very special neighbourhood: The 'Wrangelkiez' in Kreuzberg. Experience the extraordinary culinary diversity and learn stories behind the restaurants. Discover new flavours from traditional German delicacies to vibrant international street food.

The tour is a mix of cultural stops with history and anecdotes from the neighbourhood and tastings at five of my tried and tested favourite restaurants.

The rotating programme may include Turkish, Ethiopian, Vietnamese, Peruvian, Austrian, Swedish and German specialities. Berlin kebab and/or currywurst is not planned, but is available upon request! A “snack” is a small portion - definitely more than a praline-sized bite: you can expect to get a full meal over the course of the tour.

In the former border area during the partition of Berlin, the Wall here made the towns of Kreuzberg and Alt-Treptow peripheral areas of the city. A preserved relic is this watchtower.
Gorlitzer Park

Görlitzer Park is a recreational area for the neighbourhood. I'll tell you anecdotes of its history and why it has a bad reputation today!
Falckensteinstraße

One of the central streets of the neighbourhood. Here you find an extraordinary density of international gastro offers. As a visitor, you could just try your luck. I show you personally tested highlights!
Wrangelstraße

The name-giving street of the neighbourhood. Find out why and see a church built in the style of a Romanesque monastery. The amazing density of international gastro offerings continues here as well. From here I give you the final option to rest in a Kiez pub or take you to the station Schlesisches Tor - where the subway is not underground.
