Description

Our day trip to Jervis Bay lets you discover the Jewel of the NSW South Coast. Jervis Bay is just over three hours south of Sydney and a beautiful destination to visit. Drive through the rolling hills along the South Coast and see stunning views of coastline and the heights of the mountainous Great Dividing Range. Cruise on your bike along the stunning White Sands Cycleway past stunning white beaches before walking through a beautiful forest to discover Hyams Beach!

One of our awesome guides picks you up early morning and takes the scenic route down towards the South Coast. From coastal villages to white sandy beaches, the NSW South Coast is a captivating part of Australia. Our first stop is Mt Bulli Lookout which overlooks the pretty Wollongong coastline. We then drive further south stopping in Kiama to check out the local attraction - the Kiama Blowhole!

On arrival in the seaside village of Huskisson (Husky), you have time to wander the shops and cafes looking for an energetic lunch. It’s then onto our cruiser bikes to ride on a dedicated cycleway discovering one beautiful white sand beach after another. We then walk through a national park to our final destination - the world famous Hyams Beach.

Jervis Bay Marine Park is home to bottlenose dolphins, seals, penguins, seabirds, and migrating whales (May – October). You may see some of these animals as you ride along the shoreline past holiday homes and glorious beaches. At Hyams Beach you’ll have more than an hour for relaxing, swimming or some beach activity. The village of Hyams Beach (population of 112, one café) is known for having crystal-clear water and the whitest sand in the world. On the trip back to Sydney we have one refreshment stop in another quaint village.

The tour guide George was wonderful! He was personable and shared his knowledge on the area and made sure we caught our boat on time for the dolphin cruise! This was a beautiful day and because our cruise got moved to earlier we were able to enjoy the white sands of Hyams Beach and the dolphins! Normally you can only do one or the other.

The journey was good, the driver very good and very informative. The downside was the Dolphin Cruise. The weather was very very rough and we all on the boat got soaked and therefor we neither sore Dolphins or any landmarks due to the rough weather. On leaving the Cruise we asked the question about the Dolphins and she said it's not really a Dolphin Cruise and due to the conditions we couldn't go round to one of the days. Also according to the coach driver our names wasn't on the list for the Cruise so as far as we are concerned the three of us in our party paid for a very wet and rough ride. We thoughly enjoyed the day but it was spoilt by the Dolphin Cruise which in our opinion should never have taken place.
