What you can expect

Day 1:

  • This tour begins with pickup from the Puerto Maldonado airport, we will go to the shores of Lake Sandoval. During this tour we will be able to photograph up close the various native birds of the place.
  • This trip will conclude at the Tambopata accommodation where we will stay for the next few nights. You will have the rest of the day free to enjoy and get to know the place.

Day 2:

  • This day we will start with breakfast at the hotel, we will go to visit the farmers of Loero. This is an agricultural area, you can take pictures of the farms and animals. You will also see the crop fields and workers at work.

Day 3:

  • This day we will have breakfast and go to the chestnut groves, in this place we will take a photographic tour in which we will be able to learn about the cultivation of chestnuts.

Day 4:

  • On this day we will have an activity that will be fascinating, we will spend a day underground. We will go and descend to the gold mines of Tambopata, in this place we will find various viewpoints to observe birds and many species.

Day 5:

  • This day we will start with breakfast, to go look for native birds to immortalise them in photographs, these birds will be perched on trees or in mid-flight. To do this we will go to the so-called Bajo Tambopata Corridor, in this place we will find various viewpoints to see a multitude of species.

Day 6:

  • We will take advantage of this day to photograph the wild nature of the different Amazonian ecosystems. We will approach the forest to look for species of flora and fauna. We will also visit some agroforestry systems in the area to understand how they work and photograph them.

Day 7:

  • This will be our last day of the circuit we will go to the banks of the Tambopata and Madre de Dios rivers. We will undertake a river crossing by canoe, during the journey we will have the opportunity to closely photograph various riverside birds such as parrots and macaws.
  • Finally we will return to the accommodation to rest and prepare to leave the next day.

Day 8:

  • This day we will say goodbye to the beautiful landscapes of the Tambopata jungle, after having breakfast we will leave for the city of Puerto Maldonado.

Note:
This photography tour includes 7 nights of accommodation in an ecolodge in Tambopata.
Accommodation is on a full board basis, so all breakfasts, lunches and dinners will be included.
