Discover one of Indonesia’s most spectacular overland adventures, travelling from East Java’s famous volcanoes to the cultural heart of Bali.

This 4-day experience begins in Surabaya, where travellers start an exciting journey across the volcanic landscapes of East Java. The first destination is the legendary Mount Bromo, located inside Bromo Tengger Semeru National Park, famous for its surreal volcanic desert and breathtaking sunrise views.

Wake early for a jeep ride to the Bromo viewpoint and witness one of the most iconic sunrises in Southeast Asia before exploring the crater and surrounding sea of sand.

The journey continues across East Java towards Ijen Crater, known for its turquoise acid lake and dramatic volcanic landscape. Trek with a local guide to the crater rim and witness the unique environment of one of the world’s most fascinating volcanoes.

After the volcano adventure, travel towards the coast and cross the Bali Strait by ferry to Gilimanuk Harbour, the main gateway to Bali.

Continue the journey along Bali’s peaceful northern coast to the beach town of Lovina, where travellers stay overnight and prepare for a sunrise dolphin watching experience.

On the final day, travel through the cool highlands of Bedugul and visit the iconic Ulun Danu Beratan Temple, located on the shores of Lake Beratan, before ending the journey in the cultural town of Ubud.
