Overview

  • Escape Stavanger and discover the distinctive landscapes, coastal history and rural heritage of Jæren on a private journey along Norway’s North Sea coast.

Travel through open farmland and traditional communities to Hå Gamle Prestegard, historic Obrestad Lighthouse and the small harbour at Obrestad. Continue to Grødalandstunet, where preserved farm buildings offer a glimpse into traditional life in Jæren, before visiting the atmospheric Varhaug Old Churchyard beside the North Sea.

Unlike a large group tour, this private experience offers a relaxed and personal way to explore places many visitors to Stavanger never reach. Your local driver-guide shares stories about the region, its farming traditions, maritime history and everyday Norwegian life.

When time, weather and road conditions allow, additional scenic photo stops can also be made.

Ideal for travellers looking to experience authentic Jæren without a long or demanding hike.
