What you can expect

  • Start your journey with a short drive through the Cambodian countryside to a floating fishing village. First, visit the village market and see the everyday life and spontaneous activities of the villagers.

Next, take a short boat cruise through a floating village and mangrove trees to the beautiful Tonle Sap Lake, the second-largest freshwater lake in the world. Watch as locals go about their daily work, fishing, cooking, and preparing fishing nets. See a primary school, a Buddhist temple, and children playing.

Take a 30-minute walk through the village and see hundreds of houses built on high stilts. Learn about the area’s culture and history from your guide. Discover how this traditional village life has remained largely unchanged for centuries.

Choose to add an ox-cart ride or lunch hosted by a local family. Ride a traditional ox-cart in the countryside, allowing you to explore the local village, visit a local market, and observe the scenic countryside and rice fields. The ox cart, traditionally used by farmers to travel to rice fields, now provides a fun and educational experience for tourists.

Alternatively, enjoy lunch hosted by a local family. A housewife will share with you how to cook Cambodian food.
