Escape the crowds and discover the hidden side of Krka National Park on a premium, relaxed day trip from Šibenik. As we leave the coast behind, we drive through small stone villages and open countryside, entering the heart of the Čikola canyon area—one of the region’s most impressive karst landscapes. The route takes us across the rural Miljevački plateau (Miljevci), a peaceful inland plateau set between the Krka and Čikola rivers, shaped by stone, wind, and traditional village life beneath the slopes of Mount Promina.

Our first major stops are Burnum, an ancient Roman military site dramatically positioned above the canyon, followed by the spectacular Manojlovac Waterfalls—among the most powerful and visually striking waterfalls on the Krka River. Here you’ll enjoy short, easy walks and plenty of time for photos in a quieter part of the park.

Next, we continue to Roški Slap, a beautiful cascade area surrounded by nature and far more relaxed than the busiest park zones. After exploring, we head to a local village restaurant where a traditional slow-cooked “peka” lunch will be served—an authentic taste of Dalmatian hinterland hospitality.

After lunch, we enjoy a scenic drive through rural villages to a Visovac viewpoint, with carefully selected photo stops along the way. The return journey follows the canyon route again, giving you final panoramic moments over the rugged karst terrain before arriving back in Šibenik.
